Soon after the death of their dear son, Brandon Patch's parents filed a case against Louisville Slugger baseball bats manufacturer, Hillerich & Bradsby. They accused that the manufacturers did not provide proper warning about the dangers of using aluminum bats.
Now, a Montana jury on Wednesday awarded the parents $850,000 as compensation. However the jury did not find the bat itself to be defective. The special verdict says the failure to warn was the cause of the accident.
